On 31 January 2026, we launched the Sasria web-based Rates Calculator, marking an important step forward in improving how we work together with brokers and agent companies.

For many years, the Excel calculator played an important role in supporting pricing. However, over time it also introduced real operational challenges. These were not theoretical concerns but daily frustrations that affected how you interacted with us and, ultimately, the ability to provide accurate pricing with confidence. We recognised that these challenges carried real consequences for efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.

To successfully address this issue, we approached the problem differently. Instead of asking how to improve the existing tool, we asked what a truly effective solution should look like. By combining the strong foundation of the Excel calculator with fresh thinking and innovation, we simplified complexity and designed a system focused on consistency, usability, and security.

The result is a web-based calculator that is intuitive and reliable, while also creating opportunities beyond pricing. It establishes a foundation for deeper analytics, supports smarter underwriting decisions, strengthening the link between process and purpose through technology that enables better outcomes.

While the launch may feel like a significant leap forward, this solution is the result of many years of insight and contributions from colleagues and industry partners who continuously shared ideas on how we could do better.

This is not the end of the journey. It is the foundation for continued improvement as we build solutions that support a more efficient and responsive insurance ecosystem.
