Goods in transit covers all goods in transit only on South African soil, whether it’s through the land, air or sea such as marine cargo, marine hull, and inland water vessels.

Goods in transit cover is issued under the material damage section. The cover relates to inland transit, marine cargo (limited to South African risks) and stock throughput. The cover for transit risks apply within South Africa only.

The cover also applies to marine hull, ocean vessels and inland water vessels, small crafts including sports crafts (rubber ducks, canoes, speed boats and rowing boats).
